SierraSoft Education is the initiative created by SierraSoft to support the academic world in the adoption of software for railway and road design to be used in university courses and for degree theses

Education Kit

The Education Kit consists of time limited licenses of SierraSoft software and educational materials to train students to use the products. The Education Kits available are:

• Roads Education Kit: Road design;
• Rails Education Kit: Railway design.

Coût

the Education Kit is completely free in the context of university courses and degree thesis, both for students and for teachers/supervisors.

Limitations of the software contained in the Education Kit:

• Limit use to the sole purpose of study and learning, excluding any professional use;
• Limitations in prints and drawings, prints and drawings marked with a screen that identifies their non-professional use;
• Limitations in export functions;
• File format not compatible with the format of the software for professional use.

How to request the Education Kit:

Education Kit request for university teaching:

The request must be submitted by the teaching teacher, on the University's headed paper, and must include:

• Title and brief description of the university course for which the Education Kit is requested;
• Duration of the course: start and end date of the lessons;
• Name and surname, Title, telephone and email of the contact person for the Education contract;
• Name and surname, Title, telephone and email of the teacher of the course;
• Name and surname, email of each student for which the activation of the Education Kit is requested.

Education Kit request for degree thesis:

The request must be submitted by the supervisor of the degree thesis, on the University's headed paper, and must include:

• Title and brief description of the degree thesis for which the Education Kit is requested;
• Duration of the degree thesis: start and end date;
• Name and surname, Title, telephone and email of the thesis supervisor;
• Name and surname, email of the graduate student for which the activation of the Education Kit is requested.
