Possession of professional certification as a BIM expert is increasingly demanded by the market and is becoming an increasingly rewarding feature.

The certification of competence documents that a person possesses certain knowledge, skills and competences described in the reference standards, laws or documents of the certification body. SierraSoft in collaboration with ICMQ offers the opportunity to professionals who already work in the field of BIM with its products to obtain a certificate attesting to the possession of those skills ICMQ certifies professional figures in compliance with UNI 11337-7:2018, UNI/PdR 78:2020 and UNI CEI EN ISO/IEC 17024 standards. The certification is issued with Accredia accreditation, which will allow the certification to be recognized as a professional title under Law 4/2013 on unorganized professions. The certification lasts five years (5 years) and will be valid after annual evaluation of the documentation certifying the maintenance of skills carried out by ICMQ. The BIM Expert certification is issued after successfully passing an ICMQ examination consisting of a written test, a practical test and an oral test. The examination for obtaining the certification may be preceded by specific training, provided by SierraSoft, for the acquisition of knowledge, skills and competences required by the role of BIM Expert.

• Degree of education:

  Secondary school diploma

• Generic work experience in technical area:

  At least 6 months

• Specific work experience with the BIM method:

  Knowledge of a specific BIM tool is required for the chosen discipline and at least 3 months of experience in that discipline
