SierraSoft Topko CE
In the palm of a hand, all the topography you need
With SierraSoft Topko CE, in a mobile device, you will have a powerful tool to communicate with your topographic instruments, manage topographic and cadastral surveys on field and create infrastructures.
Topko CE is a software for cadastral and topographic survey which can work on Windows Mobile instruments and communicate directly with your total station. The constant presence of a graphic CAD allows to verify in real time the object of the survey, to create new points and to complete the survey drawing directly on field. Moreover Topko CE includes advanced COGO and road stakeout functions as well as the opportunity to import/export data in different formats.
Station orientationThe station can be oriented towards one or more reference points; it is however possible to set an origin and a orientation.
SurveyBesides the normal survey function, some advanced survey functions are available, by which to measure points not within reach of the prism. The software can manage the direct and reversed sight and multiple sight.
StakingIt is possible to perform the staking of single points, lines and arcs even with specification of station and distance offset. The software displays graphically the station position and orientation, the position of the prism and of the point to be staked; it provides also information as far as the direction the prism must follow in order to reach the point and the values of the distance from it. Thanks to COGO functions, the points to stake can be created directly on field.
Roads stakeoutBy Topko CE Roads module it is possible to stake out on field road alignments of any kind and size. Besides the complete management of alignment data, the tool offers powerful functions for roadbed and sideslope staking, and of such supplementary elements as walls, ditches, etc.
Data tablesAll data can be consulted through tables allowing to edit, modify and cancel them.
Codes and drawing from codesTopko CE allows to use effectively the codes for the automatic creation of the drawing. Besides the extended description, it is then possible to assign to the survey codes the symbol by which the points will be represented as well as the layer in which they will be saved.
COGO functionsThanks to powerful COGO functions, the user can create new points, as alignment and offset, distance and/or angle intersection, offset, etc. By other commands it is possible to calculate traverses, determine area, distance, angle and to resolve triangles.
CADThe graphic CAD is immediately accessible through any section of the tool and it is always updated with the current situation, both of survey and of staking. It is possible to import raster-vector maps in the most widespread formats. The graphic CAD manages layers, colors, line types. Drawing commands allow to insert lines, arcs, circles, polylines, texts, using also object snaps. Such commands as distance measurement, angles and areas are available directly in the graphic CAD.
Import and exportBy Topko CE it is possible to import/export data in different formats: DXF, ASCII, LandXML, ESRI Shape.
Link to TopkoTopko CE is of course fully compatible with Topko for PC, enabling the user to pass directly from the field data recorder to the office PC and vice versa, keeping all data and employing the same work philosophy.
Topographic instrumentsTopko CE is compatible with the topographic instruments of the most widespread brands.
Below the list is reported, of Topko CE 5.0 new main functions.
Multiple BS pointThe station orientation can be done by measuring more than one known point in direct and reverse mode. The residuals are displayed and any measure can be included and exclude in the calculation.
Height instrument from known pointThe instrument height can be calculated by measuring a know point.
Station elevation from known pointsThe station elevation can be calculated by measuring one or more known points. The residual are displayed and any measure can be included and exclude in the calculation.
Measure main windowThe Measure dialog box can be used in two different ways: Text mode and the new Graphic mode. The new Graphic mode allow to take measure and see in real time the position of the measured point on the graphic cad.
Stake out of ArcsThe stakeout of arc is available; the arc can be defined by 3 points, 2 points and radius, 1 point azimuth and radius.
Stake out of Line/Arc by offsetIt is possible to stake out points along lines and arcs by specifying a distance and an offset.
Stake out with plan viewIt is possible to perform stakeout operation and see the current position over the plan view. A circle shows when your position is in tolerance.
Robotic total stations Topko CE includes an option to supports robotic total stations. Topko CE can command the search and lock of the prism as well as to manage the tracking (continuous measure of the distance) with real time display of the current position on the graphic display. The control on the robotic instruments can be exercised both for survey and for stakeout. A specific window allows to command manually the station moving in order to make it possible to rotate the station in the desired direction also from a distance.
Traverse calculation (Compass rule)Traverse can be computed in the field with calculation of linear and angular closure error. Closed and closed loop traverse are managed.
Least square adjustment calculationThe stations position in the current job can be adjusted by using least square adjustment computation. The complete survey can be calculated by using the new stations position.
Subdivisions of boundariesA new function allow to perform subdivisions on a parcel or on a polyline. The subdivision line can be parallel or perpendicular to two reference points; the software allow to define the area to subdivide and calculates the position of the subdivision points along the perimeter.
Topko CE is available in different configurations. Below a list is reported, of the different configurations and modules available.
Module T: Survey and stakeout
T module includes all the functions necessary for survey and staking; the presence of a graphic CAD allows to verify directly the object of the survey compared, for example, to an existing maps or to complete, on field, the survey drawing.
Module S: Roads
Topko CE Road module extends Topko CE T with functions for the stakeout of road alignments of any kind and size. Besides the complete management of alignment data, the tool offers powerful functions for roadbed and sideslope staking, and of such supplementary elements as walls, ditches, etc.
Module G: GPS
Topko CE GPS is a software for the management of topographic survey on field, staking and control, which can be used along with a wide range of GPS receivers. The software manages every kind of survey: static, fast-static, RTK with base-rover connection and RTK with connection between rover and fixed/virtual stations via GPRS/GSM.
Below a list is reported, of the Topko CE documentation available. All the documents are PDF documents and can be downloaded.
Topko CE trial-version is an evaluation copy of Topko CE, in which some functions of the product have been deactivated and it is possible to manage a limited number of data.
